Black Lives Matter Story Slam at SUNY Plattsburgh May 1

The BLM Committee has been collaborating with SUNY Plattsburgh’s EDU130 class: “Ethics, Relationships and Multicultural Competencies in Education” to produce an on-campus story slam. Brittnei Washington will return as facilitator/MC of the campus event.

The Black Lives Matter Story Slam will take place on Wednesday, May 1 from 8-9:30 p.m. on the SUNY campus — in the North Country Teacher Resource Center, Room 545 of Sibley Hall. The event is hosted by Teacher Education students in EDU130 “Ethics, Relationships and Multicultural Competencies” and the event is co-sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Plattsburgh. Our own Brittnei Washington will return as facilitator/MC. The event is free and open to the community. Light refreshments will be served.

We are hopeful to have a large crowd to show our support not only for Brittnei, but also the students at SUNY Plattsburgh.  Contact Julia Giltz at juliagiltz@charter.net if you have questions.
