(Fall, 2022)
Let us celebrate our success for our congregational achievements and durability during the past 2.5 years! Now there is a strong – and growing – desire for people to meet again in person. However, extra-budgetary funds are necessary to provide this option.
Your worship team is committed to offering a “dual-platform” (i.e. in-person as well as virtual) experience. We honor the success of our services on Zoom, and do not want to lose these benefits. And we also want folks to have the option of experiencing worship in person.
A dual-platform experience requires new equipment (cameras, audio, other tech devices) to make this happen. This expense was not anticipated in our current budget that merely included $200 for technology – not knowing if and when we might attempt to meet again in person.
We are making this special financial appeal for $4,000 to cover the following:
- remote camera
- Zoom-quality audio (new mics, mic stands, receivers)
- computer, monitors, A-V switching device and cables
- technology consultant
Because there will be times when we may offer a gathering in an alternate space (for example, our upcoming “Celebration of Covenant: Rev. Nicoline’s Installation Service” at Temple Beth Israel), everything we are purchasing is completely portable.
Contributions can be made by writing a check made out to UUFP with “Dual-platform technology” in the memo line and mailed to 4 Palmer St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901, or through our website’s GIVE tab. Any amount is very much appreciated!
