Decorating
If you appreciate the aesthetics of our sanctuary and are a hands-on type, we invite you to join a team to help decorate the sanctuary for the upcoming holidays. Our lovely decorations can usually linger through the first of the new year. If you’d like to be part of the decorating team, reach out to us at love@uuplattsburgh.org so that we can coordinate schedules.

Mitten Tree Sunday
Sunday, Dec. 7, 10:30 a.m.
Join us for an old multi-age Unitarian Universalist tradition made new. All ages are welcome! Bring gently used or new warm winter clothes of good quality to put under the tree. Hats, mittens, winter coats, snow pants and winter boots in children’s sizes are welcome. Clothes will be collected up until Sunday, Dec. 21 and shared with families in our area.
Our annual Mitten Tree Sunday service will be followed by refreshments. And, we’ll be celebrating the end of our Annual Giving Campaign, too!

Multi-generational Holiday Fun & Games!

Arrive when you can. Move from activity station to station or linger at one. We’re providing the casual buffet supper as one of the stations!

Teams to Support Our Christmas Eve Service
(Can you help ahead of time? or the night of?)
- Ahead of time: Prepare the handheld tapers for the candlelight service.
- Tech Team the night of: Jason Murray would love to mentor you! Reach out to him at digitaloutreach@uuplattsburgh.org
- Usher team tasks: greet folks; hand out candles & programs; tend to a couple light cues that will create ambience in the sanctuary.

| Christmas Eve Choir Rehearsals Begin! ~~Join us when you can~~ Consider joining our Christmas Eve choir! What a festive time of year to combine our voices and contribute to the message of our 6:30 p.m. candlelight service. Invite a friend to join us! Adult and young voices (we suggest grade 5 and up) will begin rehearsals the first week of December in preparation for our Christmas Eve service.
