Fine Arts and Crafts Sale on Sat., Nov. 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

4 Palmer St., Plattsburgh, NY

Local residents are invited to jumpstart their holiday shopping at the Fine Arts and Crafts Sale sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Plattsburgh from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4.

Located in the church at 4 Palmer St., the sale will include oils, pastels, photography, pottery, collage, stained glass, calligraphy, handmade hats, woolen mittens made from recycled jackets and more.

It will feature the work of more than a dozen craftspeople, including Norman and Tory Taber, Jackie Sabourin, Bill Crosby, Tim Palkovic, Ron Nolland, Lucas Haight, Shaun O’Connell, Darlynn Bates, Ursula Jones, Liesa Bassoi Pedersen, Linda Pearson, Michelle Ouellette, Lynda Mussen, Kimberley Bertrand and Lee Clark.

“We are excited to give some of our local artists a platform to show and sell their art and crafts,” said organizer and photographer Darlynn Bates.

Bates also noted that money from the sale will benefit the artists and support the work of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Meanwhile, everyone involved is amazed at the work that will be on display.

“The response from local artists has been incredible,” said artist and fellow show coordinator Shaun O’Connell, whose own pastels will be on display in frames handcrafted by her husband, John Allen. “We are excited to showcase this beautiful work by our friends and artists. I think the community will be pleasantly surprised by all the creativity and talent that surrounds us.”

“We are most grateful to our fellow artists for their kindness and generosity in supporting the work of the UU Fellowship of Plattsburgh with their donations of time and talent,” O’Connell added.

Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
