Join avid fly fisher Hap Wheeler on Sunday, June 26, at the Samuel de Champlain Monument, along the banks of Lake Champlain, just down the road from the Kent Delord House.

Hap will start you out with a little class. Learn how to cast, put on a fly. Then you can try your luck in Lake Champlain. Fish from shore. Step into the water, if it’s warm enough. No fishing license required! This is a free fishing day, sponsored by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.

Mobility requirements: The grassy bank has a moderate slope. If you’d like to just watch the fun, bring a camp chair.
Equipment: Hap will provide flies, rod, line and leader.
What to wear: Sunglasses (or safety glasses, if you don’t have sunglasses), Water shoes or sneakers, if you’re willing to get them wet.

Limited to 10 participants!
