General Assembly 2022: Meeting the Moment

General Assembly (GA) is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists, where we conduct business of the Association, explore the theological underpinnings of our faith, and lean fully into our mission and principles. This year GA will be held 22-26 June 2022 in Portland Oregon (Pacific Daylight Time).

Although paid registration is required to attend the full meeting in person or virtual, , there are several events available for general public viewing at no charge via Video streaming at UUA.org.

Events available for Public Viewing include: General Sessions, Service of the Living Tradition, Synergy Bridging Worship and Sunday Morning Worship will be streamed live on UUA.org and YouTube.

  • Banner Parade / General Session / Opening Celebration
    Wednesday June 22 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern Time
    GA officially begins with a joyful, worshipful opening celebration with inspirational music and speakers. The opening celebration sets the tone for the days ahead. The Opening Celebration will include a procession of banners from hundreds of UU congregations and organizations. We will also gavel in the General Assembly.
  • The Service of the Living Tradition (SLT)
    Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 7 pm Eastern Time
    This service honors fellowshipped and credentialed religious leaders; remembering those who have died, recognizing those who have completed active service, and welcoming those who have received fellowship or credentialed status in the past year.
  • General Session
    Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12:30 Eastern Time and Sunday 3:30 Eastern Time
    General Sessions are where the business of the Association is conducted.
  • Synergy Bridging Worship
    Friday June 25 7:00 pm Eastern Time
    A transformative multigenerational worship service and a celebration of treasured worship elements, rites of passage and brilliant contemporary music.
  • The Sunday Morning Worship
    Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 12:30 Eastern time
    The largest annual gathering of UUs joining in worship. Join this powerful, communal worship experience.
