Help us figure out new ways of gathering online and by phone!

Our current health crisis may mean that — for the safety of our members and friends — we can no longer meet in person, but it doesn’t mean that we will not be meeting, connecting and helping each other through this stressful time.

As we work to set up our new systems, we are asking you to join us during one of two practice sessions. These sessions will help you figure out how to use your phone or computer to connect and will help us troubleshoot problems.

Here are the dates and times for the practice sessions:

  • 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 18.
  • 10 a.m., Saturday, March 21.
  • Here’s how you can join us:
    • By computer, tablet, cell phone browser or the Zoom app, use the URL https://zoom.us/j/247795141
(Note: If you don’t already have Zoom on your device, this option will automatically download some software. Click on the download when it is finished, and it should open up to our meeting location.)
    • By phone, dial +1-646-558-8656 and enter this Meeting ID number, 247 795 141.

If you have trouble logging in, email us at news@uuplattsburgh.org and give us a phone number we can use to help walk you through it. We will get back to you as soon as we can. If we are not able to do so during the session, someone will get in touch with you right after it and personally try walking you through the steps.

Following these sessions, we will host an online/phone gathering this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Stay tuned for the details.

Finally, a question: Are you adept with social media technology … or interested in learning? Please consider joining a “tech team” to help us navigate this new virtual landscape as we strive to maintain our social, emotional and spiritual connectedness. If interested, please contact news@uuplattsburgh.org.

Thank you for being a part of the solution to our present challenges. We missed you all this week and look forward to connecting with you in the near future!
