Prepping for the Christmas Season

We have many ways for you to get involved with our activities around the Christmas season.

We encourage those of you who are the hands-on type to help with decoration of the sanctuary in early December. Our lovely decorations can usually linger through the first Palmer Street Coffeehouse of the new year. If you’d like to be part of the decorating team, please contact Darlynn Bates (518-561-8982), so that our team can coordinate decorating schedules.

Finally, do consider joining our Christmas Eve choir. What a festive time of year to combine our voices and contribute to the message of our 6:30 p.m. candlelight service. We welcome first-timers and non-readers. However, being able to match pitch is crucial to the rehearsal and worship experience.

We celebrate the joy of bringing many voices together using beautiful and fun music. Encourage your young singers — middle school and older —to join us, as well as any young adults who plan to be back in the area for the holidays. You don’t have to attend every rehearsal, so don’t let your busy life hold you back.

Rehearsal nights bounce around a bit. Maybe that will allow more of you to jump on board! We begin on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 7-8:30 p.m., but we do not always rehearsal on Thursdays. See below or look on our Web calendar and in Sunday morning announcements. Come when you can!

Contact Jo El Miano at 518-578-5821 if you have any questions about the choir. And spread the word! Invite a friend!  Non-members are always welcome. For some folks, singing in the choir is a smooth way to ease into the life of our congregation.
