A Connect in Community Sunday
Authenticity. Beauty. Integrity. We most come alive when we are all able to live as our whole and holy selves. Join Rev. Nicoline and members of an expanded Worship Team, as we “Connect in Community” and build multi-age connections during the second half of the service.
Because our world often leaves us isolated and in silos, we’ll be experimenting this year with a new way to connect to our UU values and to Connect in Community!
One Sunday each month we’ll move out of the formal part of our service at 11 a.m., and into smaller, multi-age groups. Offerings will include activities like music, art, learning, conversation on the morning’s theme … you get to choose. We’ll gather in 2-3 circles – making space for deep listening, belonging, authenticity, appreciation for differences, and having fun!
Our service will still end at 11:30, but our hope is that Connect in Community Sundays will help us all build new connections with people of all ages while still centering UU values.
And if you’re attending on Zoom, “Coffee Quarter Hour” will continue to offer a quiet moment for connecting with other members of our community.
Join Rev. Nicoline and members of the Worship Team this Sunday morning for worship at 10:30 a.m. Attend in person or online.
Have a Joy or Sorrow to Share?
Here are several options for ensuring your message is shared at a Sunday service:
- Complete and submit our online form by 9 a.m. Sunday.
- If you plan to attend service in person, arrive by 10:15 and note your Joy or Sorrow on a paper form, available on the greeter’s table near the entryway. It will be read aloud during the service.
- If you arrive on Zoom with a joy or sorrow, you may type it into Chat, addressed to “Sanctuary.” Someone from the tech team will read it aloud.
- If you have trouble navigating the online form and would like to email your joy or sorrow, write layministers@uuplattsburgh.org.
