Guest Rev. Barnaby Feder joins us.
As a lifelong UU raised in a California congregation his mother helped organize in the early 1950’s, Rev. Feder cherishes (not always fondly) the stories that illuminate how Unitarian Universalism is evolving. He has come to see the Bible and the Star Wars movies as rich metaphors for what we’ve been co-creating in his lifetime. No wonder the title of this sermon has been the one unchanging bumper sticker on his family car for more than two decades.
(PS – this worship service can be regarded as Part 1 of a two-part vision which will be completed when he visits in May. At that time, he will reflect on the relationship between Science and our new national by-law describing Unitarian Universalism as a denomination putting Love at the center of a ring of values including Justice, Equity, Transformation, Pluralism, Interconnectedness, and Generosity)
