Your generous contributions help lay the foundation for our budget that funds the work that expresses our vision and mission in 2023.

This is an exciting time in the life of the fellowship, where so much feels new: we are gathering again in person; we have entered a new, covenantal relationship with our settled minister, Rev. Nicoline. And, now that our dual platform services have allowed us to become more fully inclusive, we can begin the task of re-envisioning ourselves as a community!

  • What have we learned we can let go of from the past?
  • What might we invent together as we journey forward?
  • What do we – and others – long for?
  • What impacts might we strive for as a community focused on love and justice in a fragile world?
  • Can we weave together Resilience and Hope as our safety net in uncertain times?

Yes, it is time to begin a new chapter in the journey of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Plattsburgh!

Our goal for this year

We honor all contributions of hearts, minds and hands.

Financial accountability is also necessary to hold these commitments.  Our goal this year is for full participation! Current pledge participants: we hope you can maintain, or even raise your commitment. Not-yet-pledgers: we invite you to make a first pledge of financial commitment at any level that works for you.

Your impact in 2022

Here’s some of the impact your generosity made possible in 2022:

  • We were able to share more than $2,000 with 10 dynamic local organizations.
  • Through the UU the Vote campaign, your hard work and networking allowed us to send 4,550 postcards to encourage folks in Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia and Florida to register and vote!
    • Members and friends have deepened spiritually and sustained one another by taking part in our many offerings: robust and thought-provoking Sunday services; small groups for deepening and connection; programming for children and families; and our energetic justice squads (Democracy, Black Lives Matter) and our partnerships with local organizations like Planned Parenthood of the North Country, SUNY Plattsburgh, and Plattsburgh Cares.

We can accomplish great things by joining hands and reaching out to others in our web of interconnection!

Our covenant, the heart of our partnership

During our covenanting celebration in early October, we shared these words with Rev. Nicoline:

“We know that commitment is always a risk. It will change us, and indeed, it already has. And so, for the good of our future ministry together, we covenant to keep these practices at the heart of our partnership:

  • To stay willing to grow;
  • To remain curious about ourselves and each other;
  • To use direct communication and deep listening;
  • To journey together as Unitarian Universalists toward spiritual wholeness, greater justice, love and compassion toward all.”

Your pledge or donation, along with your ongoing gifts of creativity, vision, energy and presence, will allow us to live fully into these commitments. Our campaign end date is November 30, 2022.

We’re trying to keep things as simple as possible. If you have an active pledge already, and wish to maintain your current level of giving, you do not need to submit a form: Your pledge continues to be  your pledge until you tell us otherwise.

On the other hand, if you are able to increase your pledge, would like to make a first-time pledge or donation, or need to decrease your pledge for 2023, please access our online giving page here. You can also communicate with our treasurer, Ursula Jones: treasurer@uuplattsburgh.org

And as always, if life is challenging and you need support at this time, please reach out to our minister, Rev. Nicoline.
