Religious Activism: Political, Not Partisan
A very passionate group of members and friends met recently to explore religious activism. We have formed a subcommittee of our Social Justice Committee and we invite you to join us. We are the Side of Love (SL) Planning Group.
At our most recent meeting on March 19, the Rev. Evin Carville-Ziemer guided us through meaningful small-group exercises in which we explored our deep values that call us to act.
Our public Facebook page promotes love and compassion for all, regardless of affiliation or personal beliefs. You can find us at https://www.facebook.com/SideWithLovePlattsburgh/.
Our group is growing — some folks attend our planning group; others choose to engage through our private Facebook planning group site and take action daily. We’ll keep you posted on upcoming SSL Planning Group meetings.
