In May of 2017, UUFP voted unanimously to extend a contract to Rev. Nicoline Guerrier. As she is a Canadian citizen, the UUFP began working with a lawyer to complete the application for an R-1 visa (for temporary nonimmigrant religious workers). At the time, we had hoped that Rev. Nicoline would be joining us in the summer or fall of 2017. Nearly 12 months later, we have received word that the application has been approved!

The ministry position is half-time with a work schedule of 20 hours per week. Rev. Nicoline started her contract with us on May 31. She will be in Plattsburgh on Wednesdays and Thursdays. She will return on two Sundays of each month (leading our worship service for one out of the two days). She will attend the monthly board meeting, Council on Shared Ministry and other committee meetings. Stay posted for more details, including Rev. Nicoline’s contact information, office hours, and news concerning activities she will be involved in throughout the summer months.
