Call for Delegates at This Year’s Virtual UUA General Assembly

General Assembly (GA), the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists, will be an all-virtual event this year; and the fellowship is looking for two delegates to represent us at the GA Business Meetings.

You can be a delegate in one of two ways:
Attend just the business meetings, and vote in ways that will represent the congregation;
OR
Attend programming of your choice (daily worship, the prestigious Ware Lecture, stimulating workshops in many subject areas) as well as the business meetings, and vote in ways that will represent the congregation.

The congregation has funds set aside to cover GA registration fees for delegates.Business meetings run from approximately 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on June 20-22, with a shorter session on June 23.

To serve as delegate, you must be:

  • an active fellowship member;
  • moderately available for online sessions from June 20-23;
  • available for the majority of the four business meetings, and feel comfortable participating online;
  • able to represent the fellowship (i.e., not simply to vote on your own behalf or in response to your conscience).

To apply, please contact one of our board co-chairs, Connie Shemo shemoconnie@gmail.com or Annette Wells annettepwells8@gmail.com, by May 1, indicating what interests you about being a delegate.
